If you take more Stemetil MD Tablets than you should, tell a doctor or go to a hospital casualty department straight away. Take the medicine pack with you. This is so the doctor knows what you have taken.
Taking too much Stemetil MD Tablets may cause symptoms such as feeling sleepy or dizzy, increased or rapid heartbeat, feeling very cold and confused, writhing movements, feeling restless, stiffness or shaking. You may lose consciousness. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Keep taking Stemetil MD Tablets until your doctor tells you to stop. Do not stop taking Stemetil MD Tablets just because you feel better. If you stop, your illness may come back and you may have other effects such as feeling or being sick or difficulty sleeping.
Commonly occuring side effects are dry mouth, nasal congestion, headache, nausea, constipation, tachycardia, hypotension, syncope, blurred vision, vomiting, sweating and urinary incontinence. Stop the medicine if you have an allergic reaction.
Take this medicine only as directed by your doctor. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered. Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Ask your healthcare professional how you should dispose of any medicine you do not use. It is very important that your doctor should check the progress of you and your child at regular visits to make sure this medicine is working properly. Blood tests may be needed to check for unwanted effects. Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. This includes prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicines and herbal or vitamin supplements.
